RAGBRAI riders spent their second night in their journey across Iowa in Perry. Perry had an array of festivities and performers for the riders that evening, and put on a great show despite the rain that evening. The Iowa Economic Development Authority hosted a group of site selectors throughout RAGBRAI, and Perry Industries held an open house reception for the site selectors and those riding with them from IEDA. Lt. Governor Reynolds was also present at the open house, and said a few words.
Those present at the open house included Butch Niebuhr, Perry City Administrator, Linda Wunsch, Executive Director of the Alliance, Jay Pattee, Mayor of Perry, members of Perry City Council, and many from the Perry Industries and Perry Economic Development groups.
The riders set off towards Des Moines the next day, with stops through the communities of Minburn, Dallas Center, and Van Meter in Dallas County.
